Christmas Activities

Annual Santa's Arrival Parade at Townsquare: November 13th at 7 p.m.
A free parade at Townsquare where Santa comes by a horse drawn carriage to hi house. A tree lightin ceremony follos the parade. After the tree is lit, Santa's elves put on a stage show with singing and dancing and at 8 pm Victorian Carolers serenade everyone with classic Christmas favorites! You can get photos with Santa Nov. 13th-Dec. 23rd Mon-Sat 10 am-9 pm (fee for photos)

Snow in the Square: Nov. 13th-Dec. 23rd, Free at Townsquare
Enjoy a free 10 minute snowfall show that is choreographed to Christmas music each night! Mon.-Thurs. at 7 p.m. and Fri.-Sun. at 7 pm and 8 pm

Santa's Wonderland: November and December at Bass Pro Shop
Get a free picture with Santa and his Reindeer. Mon.-Fri. from 5p.m.-9p.m. and Sat.from 10 am to 9 pm. There are also activity tables for the kids where they can write a letter to Santa, color a Christmas picture, watch toy trains and drive remote control cars all for free! Every Sat. from 12-5 there are free Christmas crafts for the kids to do.

The Gift of Lights: Nov. 14th-Jan. 4th at Sunset Park
Enjoy a 2 mile drive through holiday light spectacular. Sun.-Thurs. from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays, Saturday and Holidays from 5 p.m.-10p.m. $13 per car, proceeds benefit the Parks and Recreation Scholarship program). If you bring canned goods to donate you will receive a discounted price.

Magical Forest: Nov. 21st to Jan. 1st at Opportunity Village
Enjoy all the magical lights, ride the Forest Express train and the Enchanted Carousel, admire the Gingerbread house display and visit Santa! Sun.-Thurs. 5:30p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission: Child (3-11) $7.50, Adult (12 and older) $9.50. Kids 3 and under are free.

Christmas Tree Lighting: Dec. 3rd at the Corporate Center at Southern Highlands at 6:00 p.m. See the enormous Christmas tree be lit for the season. Enjoy free hot chocolate and candy canes while visiting Santa and listening to Victorian Carolers. Located at 11411 Southern Highlands Parkway.

Annual Santa Train: Dec. 5th and 6th and Dec. 12th and 13th
Take an actual train ride with Santa and Mrs. Claus on the Southern Nevada Railway in Boulder City. The inside of the train is decorated with Christmas lights and decorations and plays Christmas music. There is also a mailbox at the train depot to mail your letter to Santa. Tickets are $2.00 per person and the trains run from 10 am to 2 pm. For more information call: 486-5933

Breakfast with Santa: Dec. 12th at the Whitney Ranch Rec. Center
Have a holiday pancake breakfast with Santa and his Elves from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Kids of all ages are welcome to come. It is $10 per child. You must register for this by Dec. 6th. Call the rec. center for further details.

Holiday Lights Tour: Dec. 18th at the Whitney Ranch Rec. Center
Take a tour of the city's Christmas lights while enjoying hot chocolate from 6:00pm to 9:30 p.m. Arrive at 6:15, the buses leave at 6:30. Cost is $5 per ticket. Register by Dec. 12th
